-If you love blue cheese salad dressing, but don't love the extra calories and fat, give this recipe a try.  It provides all of the great flavor, but without the unwanted extras.

 

Low-Fat Blue Cheese Salad Dressing

 

1/3  cup low-fat mayonnaise

1/3  cup nonfat plain yogurt

1/3  cup 1% buttermilk

2    tablespoons vinegar

1    tablespoon Dijon mustard

½   teaspoon salt

¼   teaspoon pepper

¼   cup blue cheese, crumbled

 

Combine the first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl, then stir in the blue cheese.  Chill before serving.  Makes 10 servings; 2 tablespoons per serving.

 

Nutrition Facts

Calories 29, Fat 2 grams, Saturated Fat trace, Protein 2 grams, Carbohydrate 2 grams, Dietary Fiber trace, Sodium 197 milligrams.
